Jane announced yesterday on her blog that after 19 years of living in Atlanta, a city she loves, she is moving to Los Angeles to be more available to producers and to persue her acting career with more vigor.  She will be in several movies this year, with more in the works.  With increased movie making comes more premieres and fundraising events with G-CAPP (Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention). 

Fonda promises to return to Atlanta often, as she has many important reasons: her family is here (daughter, soon-to-be son-in-law, and two grandchildren),  her two non-profit organizations are here: The Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention and The Jane Fonda Center at the Emory School of Medicine where the focus is on adolescent reproductive health and sexuality, and she will remain the chair of  G-CAPP.

Top Performers Honored at Dinner hosted by NEO and The Mansion on Peachtree

Set amidst the setting sun over the Atlanta skyline, the Top Performers of 2008 of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty were honored with a dinner at NEO and a cocktail reception in the finished model on the 42nd floor at The Mansion on Peachtree. 

 

In attendance were the more than 30 top agents from the company, including top 10 agents Wes Vawter, Wendy Zoller, Heery Brothers, Tina Hunsicker, Leslie and Bill Ransom, Margaret Cox, Frank Wynne, Peggy Hibbert, Tom Hicks, and Burma Weller.

Congratulations to Tina Hunsicker, Founding Partner and REALTOR® with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty, who is number five in the city of Atlanta in the Individual Category last night with $20 million in gross sales in residential real estate in 2008.

The award was presented to Tina at the Atlanta Board of REALTORS® Million Dollar Club Gala held at the Hyatt Downtown Atlanta. 

In addition to hundreds of  REALTORS® in attendance, Jenny Pruitt, CEO/Founder and David Boehmig, President/Founder, of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty were there to congratulate and celebrate this accomplishment with Tina.

Trends in Housing

We recently asked several agents to enlighten us with trends they are seeing in the housing market today.  Tina Hunsicker, REALTOR and Founding Partner of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty shared these insights with us.

Due to the economic times I’m seeing a demand for less square footage with more energy efficient features, cellulose insulation, and tankless hot water heaters. 

Two dishwashers in a kitchen are becoming a must a higher price points which I wasn’t use to a year or so ago. 

As always, home offices with their own entrances are requested quite often for people that work from home.  I’m working with a builder now and we designed a master on main and office on main with its own entrance and view to pool for empty nester that works from home.  Office can be converted to guest bedroom if needed, “flex space” is the buzz word there.
